On Saturday. 10th May, there is to be a public unvailing of an Honours Board in the Rangiwaea Hall. All returned soldiers in the district are particularly invited to be present; also visitors from „.Taih(ape will be welcomed. The function is to take place, at three o’clock in the afternoon, and refreshments will be provided. The Board will be unveiled by Mr ,R. W. Smith, M.P.. ami Mr A. L. Arrowsmith will also be present. A large gathering is anticipated. An effort is being made to establish a branch of the St. John’s Ambulance Society in Taihape. The initial steps have been taken and it is probable that an address on the aims and functions of the Society will be delivered here in the course of a few days. Due notice of the time and, place will he given. Home nursing is a prominent feature of the training of the Society and this, in view of the weakness disclosed during the influenza epidemic, is a vital necessity for the community. The annua! general meeting of the Plunket Society will be, hid in supperroom of the Town Hall this evening-, at S o’clock and a full attendance is requested' Mr. R W. Simth, M.P., will take the chair.
