AMBITION OF BELAKUN. CREATING AN "IDE AJ. STATE." LODON. March 29. The Budapest correspondent of the Daily News reports that the revolution was effected without bloodshed. At nine o'clock on Friday night a vast crowd raided the prison and released the Communist leader, Bclakun. An hour later a Soviet Republic was proclaimed from tnc Royal Palace, and Belakun was annointed Commissioner for Foreign Affairs. Karoli issued aproclamation and the new Cabinet mot provisionally till the forthcoming Soviets' Congress nominate their Government. It is impossible to say how the population regard the change. Wealthy people are endeavouring to make the best of things, but the mental anxiety of the middle and upper classes is plainly perceivable. The leaders state That the deity in raising the blockade and the dragging of the peace, hastened the triumph of the cause. Belakun is a close friend of Lenin. He is a Transylvanian, aged 33. When interviewed lie stated that the new regime aims at the avoidance of mistakes made by Russia. They propose to create an ideal Sta+e. where everybody will be happy and well-to-do. This will necessarily take time, owing to the heritage of destruction from the war. He scouted the suggestion that the naturalisation of women is part of his policy. He aims at the stamping out of social evils.
