LORD FRENCH PUBLISHES A BOOK Received April 29, -9.40 a.m. LONDON, April 28. The Daily Telegraph has commenced the publication of Viscount French's book, entitled, "1914." 11 deals with the utmost candour with his relations with Lord Kitchener during the Mons retreat, and shortage of ammunition and reforccmcuts early in 1915. Marshal Foch contributes ;a preface, dealing with the German rushes for llie sea ports, and shows the immense importance of the battles for Ypres. He says Lord French kept his troops up to Wellington's level.
