THE MAYORAL ELECTIONS.
To the Editor. Sir —As it. has been freely stated that the Labour Ticket Committee is supporting the candidature of Mr A. J. Joblin for the Mayoralty, I think it is only fair that such a statement should be given a most emphatic denial. The Committee definitely decided at its first inciting that no candidate would be nominated for the Mayoralty, and at a subsequent meeting it was decided that" neither candidate be supported. Mem- >; fit* the committee are perfectly free to support whichever candidate they prefer; but, in fairness to both candidates, the point" should be candidate is bei ngsuodrptcpmcf hC z made absolutely clear, that neither candidate is being supported by the Progressive Labour Committee officially. —I an), etc., E. LENIHAN. Chairman, Progressive Labour Ticket Committee.
