A QUESTION OF MANNERS.
(To the Editor) Sir, —Kindly allow me space to protest against the manners, or, rather, lack of manners, that characterise Taihape audiences. I was present at the Anzac Day service in the Town Hall, (and enjoyed a 'splendid address by Mr Hocking, but why, sir, do some people chatter during an address as if the sole reason for such address is to enable them to discuss various little tit-bits of gossip, etc. This lack of manners is not confined to occasions when addresses are given, but the very fine concerts that have been held from time to time have been marked by this very bad habit. No one section of the community is to be blamed, for even those who ought' to know better seem to be the biggest offenders. Taihapc is unique in this' respect, for In no other town is such a thing tolerated, and it is to be hoped that for the good na he of the tewn such conduct will ceas?. Thanking you in antK'.ini.t'in.— T. an etc., MANNERS
