MORE SOLDIERS' RETURNS. CORINTHIC AND MAHENO VOTES. TOTAL CONTINUANCE MAJORITY 5,672. The results of the votes cast in the licensing issue by the soldiers on the transport Corinthic and hospital ship Maheno were announced in Wellington Thursday night by the Minister or Justice, both .returns showing, as in the case of previous soldiers' votes, overwhelming majorities in favour of continuance. On tne Corinthic the voting was: For Continuance 927 For Prohibition 179 Majority for Continuance 748 The voting on the Maheno was: — For Continuance 366 For Prohibition. 102 Majority for Continance 264 Up to the present the Minister has announced the polling results of 26,234 valid soldiers' votes, the voting having been as follows: For Continuance 21,253 For Prohibition 4,981 .Majority for Continuance 16,272

The completed returns from three more electorates adds a further 79 votes to the Continuance majority, which with the addition of the votes from the Corinthic and Maheno, now stands at 3502. The present position of the civilian vote is that of a total of 473,254, Continuance has received 230,242 votes, and Prohibition 243,012, giving Prohibition a majority of 12,770 With the soldiers' votes added, the aggregate is as follows: For Continuance 251,495 For Prohibition 247,993 Majority for Continuance 3502 THE lONIC'S RETURNS.
