BOROUGH ELECTION S.

To the 'Editor. Sir,—From a copy of a Labour ticket circular that incidentally came into my possession, this miorning, I notice that ray name appears thereon, and that electors are urged to vote for me. This may be intended as a compliment, and as such I quite appreciate it, but I am sure that the Burgess of Taihape will not associate my name with any published ticket whatsoever. In fact, I had no knowledge whatever that it had appeared on any document other than the statutory notices. I do not deny that the Labour platform coincide with my own views, as they also represent the views of very nearly all of the retiring councillors, but no person had authority to use my name on any ticket. —I am, etc.,

■J. E, CUNXINGHAME.
