FOCH'S REPROOF.

The "Figaro'' recalls that General Wintcrfeldt received the French decoration of the Cross of the T.egion of Honour on the day following - his automobile accident, in which he was injured at the time of the manoeuvres in the south-west of France before the war. On November 11 last Winterfeldt appeared before Marshal Foch wearing this decoration on his tunic. After the personal courtesies following the presentation of the German delegates, Marshal Foch, fixing his eyes "-] Winterfelclt, and especially on the decoration, remarked quietly: "I rv.i'.horise you, sir, to remove it."
