SUBMARINE LOSSES.
——o GERMAN AND BRITISH.
The complete returns of the German and British submarine losses during the war shows that the Germans lost 203, and the British 59. Of the British losses, 39 were due to enemy action, three were interned, seven were blown up in the Baltic by ttheir crews when the turn of RuSso-Gorman events made it necessary for the British to withdraw from that sea, five were lost by collisions, one was wrecked, and the rc maining four wore lost -from various causes not connected with enemy action. A full statement of war losses in the British Navy is being compiled and will be published at an early date The German figures of 203 boats lost do not include the 185 ’Surrendered. Of these at the end of January 135 ■were in British waters, and 50 more remained to be handed over. The delay in delivery of the balance was due to a variety -of causes, the chief oi: which was unreadiness for sea. Those in certain stages of completion will be finished and handed over,while others less advanced will bo broken up and sold.. Five German submarines interned in Spain, Holland, and Norway, are to be handed over to the Allies.
