BOLSHEVIK ATROCITIES. APPEAL BY THE POPE. Received April 12, 8.45 a.m. ROME, April S. The "Observatory Romano" publishes correspondence , between the Vatican and the Russian Bolshevik Government, following upon the appeal »f the Archbishop of Omsk to the Pope regarding Bolshevik outrages, including the murder of twenty bishops and hundreds of priests, accompanied toy cutting off the legs of some who were flayed alive. Tchitcherin callously replied to the Pope's protest, and accused the clergy ■of hoarding food, while the people were starving. It is the first occasion the Orthodox Russian Church has appealed direct to the Pope. This will probably facilitate reunion.
SOCIALISM ADVANCE IN HUNGARY. Received April 12, 9.0 a.m. BUDAPEST, April 11. The Socialist movement of Hungary is proceeding rapidly. Soviets are organising everywhere under threats of the Eed Army. A SIBERIAN AGREEMENT. Eeceived April 12 9.0 a.m. VALDIVOSTOCK, April 11. The Seminoff and Kolcfoak parties have effected an agreement as to the Government of Siberia with the object of a further campaign lagainst the Bolsheviks.
