Licensing Referendum.
YESTERDAY'S RESULTS, The poll taken on the licensing issues yesterday passed off very quietily, and tip till 2 p.m. the polling was light. After that hour a considerable number of voters recorded their votes. Everything passed without incident.' The result of the polling at Taihape came somewhat as a surprise, the Prohibition party hardly anticipating there would be a difference of only one vote when the numbers went, the actual figures being: Continuance 405, Prohibition 404. In the evening the results of the polling in other parts of the Wahnafino electorate and in the Dominion were shown on a screen, and the results greeted according to the sentiments of the spectators. The crowd was very quiet and orderly. Following are the details of the polling throughout the Dominion, the figures in parenthesis denoting the polling at the ejection of 1914.
