Cooper, S.M., after the re-opening of the hotels in Wellington, remarked at the first day's sitting after the influenza epidemic that the number of cases were certainly too large. He had the idea that hotelkeepers iand prohibitionists were absolutely opposed, but it almost appeared as if they were in league to give every asistancc to have prohibition carried throughout the Dominion "I have been astouished," remarked the Magistrate, "during the last few days to see so many drunken men in the town. Apparently some of the hotelkeepers were not alive to their own interests, or they would not permit so much drunkenness at a time like the present. —(Advt.) What shall we do with your girls ?
