CHILDREN OF HEOROES.
THE PRICE OF VICTORY.
One of the saddest things about this war is the number of children who' are left fatherless the “great sacrifice” which fathers have made on the field. Official figures state that in New Zealand at presentthere are no less than two thousand one hundred and thirty five children of men who have laid down their lives in War Service. This number includes only those under sixteen years of ag6. Every person ,in New Zealand who is fortunate enough, to have health and strength -must-feel that they owe a. ,duty; -to .these ( children. It must never be said that this country allowed its soldiers’ hoys and girls to suffer because their - fathers did their duty. One of the mos,t worthy scheemes for the assistance of these youngsters is The Tronthani' Scholarships for the children of New Zealand’s soldiers and sailors. Every 1/ ticket helps the cause, and every loyal New Zealander should invest as many spare shillings as possible in this splendid fund. THhre is moreover, a first-class chance frf
Winning any of the fine prizes which total jn valuer over £6,200. Tickets are obtainable locally or direct from the secretary, Mr. James Mclntosh, PO. Box 281, Wellington.
