ANTONIA DOLORES CONCERTS.

Madamoisclle Antonia Dolores, the celebrated French concert singer, whose beautiful voice and charming personality have captivated audiences everywhere, will appear before a Taihape audience at the Town Hall tomorrow night. Dolores has just concluded a wonderfully successful tour of the States of the Commonwealth. Of her opening concert the Brisbane "Courier" printed:—"Life has always been the sweeter after a visit from this gracious and charming personality, and, departing, she has invariably left behind her memories of the mos* fragrant and beautiful kind. To people who ask nothing more of music than the pleasure of the moment. Mdlle. Dolores has given many seasons of rare pleasure. The diva is essentially a happy singer, the music pours from her throat with birdlike spontaniety, animation and ease. There is nothing artificial about it; sincerity is its distinguishing characteristic. The voice, too, seems to have taken on newer and deeper powers of expression."

The programmes to be given here will make a universal appeal, for they combine the classic with the popular, including all the folk song and the homely ballad. Mr. Harold Smith is also to be heard in solos.

The box plan is now open at Swedluud's music warehouse, where seats may be reserved. Country residents may also book seats by post.
