WELLINGTON, March 19
The onus of organising the public in case of a recrudescence of influenza having been cast on the hospital and charitable aid boards instead of upon city and borough councils, a general meeting was held to-day to co-ordinate the voluntary outside forces with those of the local hospital boards. The chairman of the board explained the new responsibilities thrust upon the board, and expresed. a wish that group commanders would transfer their allegiance from the Town Hall to the Hospital Board. It was the experience of most ' other countries that the epidemic recurred, and it behoved them to be ready for the epidemic when it came. At the conclusion of the meeting the group commanders pledged themselves to support the Hospital Board in every way in the case of another outbreak of influenza
