PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that a Demand that a proposal to adopt the system of ratir. t property on the basis of unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough, of Taihape be submitted to the vote cf the Ratepayers of the said Borough, was delivered to the Mayor of the said Borough on the 3rd day of March, 11919, and such demand was sufficiently signed by at least 15 per cent, of the Ratepayers on the Roll, as required by Section 37 . / e) of “The Riating Act, 1908.“

Public Notice is hereby further given that in compliance -with the said demand and with the provisions of Section 37 of the said Act. that the votes of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Taihape will be taken upon a propostal —i.e, “That henceforth the system of Eating property on the basis of the Unimproved Value thereof be adopted, in the Borough of Taihape” in the manner prescribed by the said Act on Wednesday, the 26th day o'f March, 1919 (being the day fixed in that behalf by the Mayor as Chairman of the Local Authority) between tho hours of nine o’clock in the morning and seven o’clock in the afternoon at the following Polling B’octh: Council Chambers, Town E&all,Taihape.
