Sir Auckland Geddvs in the House of Commons, announced the Government's transitory period policy of fostering British industries by retaining import restrictions on raw materials not required for British industries, and on semi-manufactured and manufactured articles which are procurable in Britain; by industries requiring protection from competition; import restrictions are entirely removed on the Empire's raw materials. It is expected the expenditure in the next Budget will be nearly fifteen hundred millions

PEACE TERMS DISCUSSION. GERMAN MILITARY FORCES. Receied 11.45. PARIS, March 11. The council of ten is continuing discussion on Britain's proposed modification of the military terms imposed on Germany. There are two propositions, that the forces maximum should be 200,000, and permitting conscription. Mr Lloyd George says the maximum should be 50,000 to 70.000 and prohibiting conscription. A definite decision is expected during the next two days.
