New York Players at Chautauqua A Company of Six Selected Artists will render attractive Programs at * Local Assembly* JANET YOUNG and DEAN FERGUS REDDIE to play leading roles. m / SI ■m ■ 111 m Janet Yoasng, Artiste. Janet Young and her New York Players are favorably known in hundreds of towns in America and Canada, where they have appeared in the last few seasons on the various Chautauqua platforms. Miss Young was busy with an engagement in New York when we cabled her to come to Australia. It was with great delight that her acceptance was received, and wo can promise the many Chautauqua centres in the Commonwealth a real treat when this dainty artiste appears with her selected support. Miss Young has emerged rapidly into a large success from her spectacular debut with the Portland Stock Co. a few years ago. She has a wide range of character portrayal in her repertoire, but is specially successful in the roles in' which she will appear on the local platform. The plays to be given locally will be selected from a wide number available, and the names will be duly published in the press. Dean Fergus Reddie, who assists Miss' Young in leading roles, comes from a wide stage, experience to Australia. Dean Reddie began his theatrical work with Daniel Prohman, am} for the last few” years has been associated with* Miss Young's Companies. lie is the leading, hgure in the Little Theatre movement in the North-west of America, and has lone more than almost any other man to establish clean and wholesome drama on a firm footing in America. * The Dean is a graduate- of Harvard, and has been on the faculties of the University of Indiana and the University of Oregon, and has written a number of successful folios.
