PROPOSED SPECIAL LOAN OF £17,000 PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with, the notice published in the "Taihape Daily Times" of 22nd February, Ist and Bth March, and to be published on the 15th instant, a POLL of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Taihape upon a proposal to raise a Special Loan of £17,000 will be taken on Wednesday, the 26th day of March, 1919. The said Poll will commence at $ o'clock in the foremoon and will close at 7 o'clock in the afternoon, and the Polling Place will be the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, Main Street, Taihape. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby . that a Demand that a proposal vo adopt the system of rating property on the basis of unimproved value of all rateable property "within the Borough, of Taihape be submitted to the vote of the Ratepayers of the said Borough, was delivered to the Mayor of the said Borough on the 3rd day of Marin,, 1919, and such demand was sufficiently signed by at least 15 per cent, of the Ratepayers on the Roll, as required by Section 37 (c) of "The R&ting Act, 1908." Public Notice is hereby further given, that in compliance -with the said demand and with the provisions of Section 37 of the said Act. that the votes of the Ratepayers of the Borough o£ Taihape be taken upon a proposal —i.e. "That henceforth the system of Rating property on the basis of the Unimproved Value thereof be adopted, in the Borough of Taihape''' in the manner prescribed by the said Act on Wednesday, the 26th day of March, 1919 (being the day fixed in that behalf by the Mayor as Chairman of the Local Authority) between the hours of nine o'clock in the morning and seven o'clock in the afternoon at the following Polling Booth: Council Chambers, Town Ha]], Taihape.
