BARTON’S CIRCUS Barton’s well known. Circus will visit Taihape for a two night season, comoncing on Friday, March 14th A huge new tent electrically lighted with comfortable seating has recently been secured for the higher grade performance that the highest class of artist'TT is possible to engage can give. The whole organisation has been refitted, renovated, bringing Barton’s new Circus up on to the highest plane of equine proficinecy and deeds of dargin and intrepidity. The humorous part of the programme is in the hands of acrobatic and versatile clowns of the modern type. De Car is said tobe the king of comedy acrobats. Marvon, the funny long man; Little Tom Fredo, the elastic marvel; the Dean Sisters in their truly beautiful and graceful wire act, in which the three handsome girls perform on one wire, well may be termed the Daring Danes. The Flying Lees have been specially engaged for this town; the Alton family of nine has also recently been secured. In fact the 1918-19 season brings Mrs Barton with a new, refitted and enlarged show. Once more Mrs Barton invites the confiidencc of the public, feeling assured she will receive in the future, as in the past, the esteem, confiidence and patronage of a discerning public. To avoid the turning away of numerous patrons Mrs Barton has secured one of the largest, electrically-lighted pavilions in the Southern Hemisphere. Everything is under the personal supervision of Mrs F. J. Barton.
