PUBLIC NOTICE 'is hereby given that a Demand that a proposal to adopt the system of rating property on. the basis of unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough, of Taihapc be submitted to the vote of the Ratepayers of the said Borough, was delivered to the Mayor of the said Borough on the 3rd day of March, 1919, and such demand was sufficiently signed by at least 15 per cent, of the Ratepayers on the Roll, as required by Section 37 'a) of “The Rating Act, 1908.” Public Notice is hereby further given that in compliance with the said demand and with the provisions of Section 37 of the said Act. that the votes of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Taihape will be taken upon a proposal —i.e, “That Henceforth flic system of Rating property on the basis of the Unimproved Value thereof be adopted, in the Borough of Taihape” in the. manner prescribed by the said Act on. Wednesday, the 26th day of March, 1919 (being the day fixed in that behalf by the Mayor as Chairman of the Local Authority) between the hours of nine o’clock in the morning and seven o’clock in the afternoon at the following Pulling B'ooth: Council Chambers.
