RUSSIA.
BLEEDING TO DEATH. TERRIBLE 'RUSSIAN PICTURE. LONDON, February .3. The correspondent of the Times at Omsk says that while the Allies at Paris convey the impression of an irresolute and ambiguous policy towards Russia, fresh touches are constantly added to the terrible picture of the country's condition. Evidence is accumulating at Omsk that Russia is absolutely bleeding to death, and impartial observers agree that it is imperative that the civilised Powers should come to the rescue for the sake of common humanity, regardless of political differences. The ghastliness of the situation at Moscow is intensified by the deliberate starving out of the helpless upper and middle classes, whose mortality is increasing daily. The city has become a mere military damp, th'ougtt l l 'k estimated that only a tenth of the soldiers are Bolsheviks, and that the remainder arc serving in order to save itheir lives.
The Bolsheviks show eager malice in pursuing their hostility towards religion, Their latest act is the conversion of the famous Strastnoi monastery into a dancing hall, where harlots and profligated nightly revel.
