MANGAWEKA SALE.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Palmerston North report having an exceptionally good entry of sheep at their Mangaweka Fair on Thursday, 13th February, 1919, the majority of the entries comprising ewes of good quality. ;was a| attendance of outside and local buyers and competition was keen throughout the day. The following are principal sales made:— Account W. F. Stevens, 291 Syr. ewes 31/3; 162 4th to 4yr. ewes 30/8. Account A. C. Morton, 288 4 and 5 yr. ewes 30/7. Account Mrs. A Hall, ,88 '4 yr. ewes 28/7 Account Fox's Estate, 116 4th ewes 27/4.
Account J. J. Lissette, 150 £th. ewes 28/.
Account G. G. Oliver, 230 4 and 5 yr. ewes 27/. Account C, O. Wilson, 400 4 and 5 yr. ewes 26/9. Account S. S. Haigh, 143 4th to 5 yr. ewes 26/. Account Bonner and Munro, 135 4 and 5 yr. ewes 25/. Several 4 and 5 yr. ewes sold at 22/-, 22/1, 22/4, 22/5, 23/1, to 23/9; 2th ewes small 18/10, to 20/6; small lambs 7/10, to 9/8.
