I STRIKE AND EPIDEMIC. BRITISH GOVERNMENT'S ANXIETY. LONDWON, February 18. The Daily Express states that the disclocation of trade and the interruption of reconstruction, owing to the strikes and the epidemic is causing the Government great anxiety. Mr Lloyd George's proposal contemplates a permanent congress, to which all industrial disputes will be submitted. The Labour Party unanimously favours the proposal. DISTURBANCES IN SPAIN. MADRID, February .18. Serious disturbances are reported at Granada as a protest against the influence of the Government's political agents. Martial law has been proclaimed.
