WEDDING BELLS.
JONES—LAURENSON. One of the prettiest and certainly one of the most numerously attended' Aveddings celebrated in Taihape was held in Taihape yesterday afternoon, when Miss N. Laurenson Avas , martried to Mr. A. Jones, both well known and popular residents of this district. The ceremony took ’.dace at |lt. Margaret’s Church, the Rev. F. W... Stent officiating. The bride was charmingly dressed in georgette and soft satin, trimmed with silver lace, and veil fashioned into a mob cap. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of floAA'ors, with maiden hair ferns and white streamers. Misses Eileen and Doreen Bray were the bridesmaids, the former being dressed in crepe de chine, apricot shade, with black hat, and the latter wore a crepe de chine dress, blue shade, and a black hat. Both carried bouquets of apricot coloured flowers,, with blue streamers. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr B. Laurenson. while Mr. B. Jones washes! man, Avith Mr. T. Sinclair (as groomsman. As the bridal partyentered the church the organist played the■ “Bridal March, ” and rafter the ceremony the party leftthe church to the strains of Mendblssolir’s “Wedding March. ,T
At the Town Hall the happy couple and guests sat down to a sumptuouswedding breakfast, about sixty beingpresent. The newly-w-edded piair loft for south by the 3.35 p.m. train, to the usual accompaniment of rice and good washes from a large number of friends. Mrs. Jones was attired in a handsome travelling costume of navy blue and lemon hat. The wmdding' presents wofS both numerous and costly, including several cheques. The bridesgroom’s present to the bride was a handsome jew r el case,, and the bridesmaids were the recipients of cameo and amethyst rings. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a handsome shaving mug. In the evening a social .party was held in the Three Stars Theatre, and a most enjoyable evening was spent, dancing being kept np till an early hour this morning, to music provided by Mr 4 J. Weßb, Misses E. Bray and E. Sinclair and Messrs. J. Sinclair and Hamilton.
