TERRIFIC DENUNCIATION OF BOLSHEVISM. BY BRITISH LABOURITE 500 SHOT BEFORE BREAKFAST ROWS OF SCHOOLBOYS SHOT DOWN. THE INFLUENCE OF HUN agents. Received 8.50 am. LONDON, February 11 A striking denunciation of Bolshevism is published in the shape of a letter written by an ex-Labour-ite, Colonel Ward, from Omsk, dated November 29, 1918, to the ■’ Trades Unionist, Mr Appleton. He states For the love of Allah never more talk of the glories of revolution. I am in it here. 'A friend strikes down him whom he thinks his foe and finds the dead man his brother. Princes’ peasants, plutoci’ats and 1 workmen, rich and poor, go down together in a welter of blood and dirt. Bolshevism thinks nothing of shooting five hundred Social Revolutionists before breakfast because of a petty difference of opinion whether the railway should be national or communal. How any of our Labour leaders failed to grasp the Bolshevik cred of blood, and presumed to condone the horrors committed by this mob of fanatics. I cannot imagine. I have been at Ekaterinburg, and seen the Cossacks pulling lumps of wood out of a well where the Czar was imprisoned, with an occasional Grand Duke mixed up with the timber; then another piece of flesh was recognised as a Grand Duchess, then others as workmen and workwomen—all murdered and mutilated just to prove their love of humanity. Colonel Ward continues: I believe it was necessary to destroy the old regime and execute the Czar and his minions, but these swine whom we call B’olsheviks are mere bloodthirsty cutthroats, who murder for the love thereof. Their regime has destroyed more peasants and, poor people in a year than the Czars did in a hundred. War is horrible, but revolutions aro ' hellisih., Another surprising similarity between Czarism, and Bolshevism is that both try to destroy the intellectual elements of their country. They made a regular onslaught on educational institutions; young school boys have sometimes been lined up, and shot in hundreds in one batch, the oldest of whom was sixteen. It appears German agents told the ignorant Russian workman that" the only way be can keep the country in his own hands is to destroy educated men. This is being thoroughly done wherever Bolshevism rules. The German idea, is that if every intellectual man and boy are killed the “conquest of Russia by German kultur is certain. SIBEBRIAN RAILWAYS. .. Received 10.20 a.m. WASHINGTON, ePbruary 12. The United States has accepted the Japanese proposals for the restoration of railway traffic in Siberia. The Allies have established a Board of Directors to control the railways m the interests of the Russians Ihemsefvo.
