AMERICAN RAILWAYS. STATE OWNERSHIP ADVOCATED Received 9.20 a.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 9. The leaders "have organised the railway employees of the United States numbering two million- men. They will propose a plan for Government ownership of the railways and their operation by employees on a co-opera-tive basis. The profits would be shared by the employees and the Government. BREAKING UP THE I.W.W. Received 9.20 "a.m. CHICAGO, Feb. 10. Fifty I.W.W. Leaguers have been deported, and others are following. The Government is planning to break up its organisations and activities throughout the United States. EXPLOSION OF FLOATING MINE. CAUSES GREAT DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY. Received 10 a.m. LONDON. February 9. A large floating mine exploded on the rocks at Ramsgate, causing great destruction of property. ■
