——o EXTENSION OF TIME. The recent epidemic interfered very- seriously with the work of the Trenthara Dominion. Art Union, which was started jjfdr the purpose, of raising funds to educate the children of soldiers and .sailors who have served and suffered in this war. It has therefore been necessary to extend the time for the closing of this Aft Union, land tire Minister for Internal Affairs has granted an extension to a date which will be announced later. The committee has “now got properly to work again, and tickets are on sale in most shops.

The splendid object for which this Art Union exists will appeal viery strongly to the public. The d'ebt that' the- people owe to the children of soldiers who have be*en injured or killed in this war is a very great one and most people will welcome the opportunity of furthering a caus'o which aims at the education of these children.

The splendid list of prizes which are offering begins with the first prize valued "at £I,OOO aud the complete value of all the gifts amounts to £6.300. Every Is ticket has an equal chance of winning any or all of the prizes, aud as a sporting invests ment the Art Union tickets are claimed to be better than “Tatt’s. ” A large announcement with full list of prizes appears in this issue.
