A BOY’S ARMOURY.
Stanley Skye and Joseph Mackovitz both, aged seventeen, were charged at the Thames- Police Court, London, with being suspected persons found loitering for the purpose of committing a felony. The second named prisoner was also .charged with having in his possession housebreaking implements. Whilst on duty in Mile End Road in the early hours of the morning, a constable saw the lads loitering' about. He hid. in a dark doorway and watched their movements. With the aid of flash lamps they examined the entrances to two cloth dealers’ shops and otTi'epremises, and were then arrested. One of them became violent, and the constable asked for their Army papers. Believing they had been seized on the ground that they were absentees from Army service-, both prisoners w°nt quietly to the station. Here they were searched. On Mackovite wore found a jemmy, a five-chambered revolver fully loaded, 15 live cartridges and four blank cartridges, a number of keys, a broken padlock, and other articles. Skye was in possession of a pocketlamp and a door-key. They made no answer to the charge, and were remanded.
