Messrs. Abraham and Williams Ltd., report that at Palmerston North on the 23rd inst. wo had a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. There was no enquiry for young cattle and prices for groAvn cattle and sheep compared favourably with previous sales. We quote: Fat sheep (ewes) 21s 6d, 265, to 27s 9d, fat woolly lambs 17s, 19s 3d to 20s9d, 4-tooth wethers to 25s lid, 2-tooth wethers 18s to 21s 6d, cull lambs 5s 6d, 5s 9d, to 7s 9d; cattle, fat cows £8 10s to £l2 12s 6d, forward cows to £8 11s, cows and calves to £8 3s, bulls £8 17s 6d, £9 17s 6d„ £lO, £lO 17s 6d, £l2 ss, £l4 1757 6d to £ls 15s. ’ »■« Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltds report : At Feilding on the 24th inst. we had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Competition for sheep was not keen and prices were in favour of the purchaser. Young cattle was on a par with previous sales. We quote: Fat ewes to 28s, forward ewes 22s 6d to 24s lOd, store ewes 16s sd, a line of 2-tooth withers on account of W. Pay made 25s 7d, 2-tooth wethers 20s, 235, 23s lOd, woolly lambs 235, small woolly lambs 12s Id to 14s Id; cattle, fat cows £5 10s to £7 10s, 3-yr steers to £lO, bad colour 2-yr steers £5 10s to £6 10s, 18-months heifers r.w. bull £5, £5 15s to £6 15s, good weaners £2 4s, £2 6s to £2 10s, heavy bulls £lB ss, medium bulls £l3 17s 6d, £ls 5s to £l6 lps, light bulls £B, £lO to£l2 10s.
