INTERNED GERMANS.
The strong feeling of the constituents of the Eden electorate that the Germans interned in Nbw Zealand should be sent back to their own country as soon as possible, was voiced by Mr C. J. Parr, M.P., in a recent interview with Sir James Allen Acting-Prime Minister. The point w r as emphasised by the member that Germans w T ho had held official positions should not on any account be allowed to remain in the Dominion. By nature of their work herb in the past, they had been expected to forward certain information to Berlin, and there "was no doubt whatever that tlieir continued presence would be a menace- The country must be safeguarded against this sort of thing in the future. Sir James Allen stated that the whole question would ctypend largely upon the attitude of the British Government, which would be decided at the forthcoming War Cabinet Council meeting, to be held in London after the peace conference.
