ADDINGTON. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan.' 22. At Addington market there were smaller yardings of stock in almost all departments. Fat cattle sold at about last week's rates, exporters again operating freely. The yarding of store cattle was much above the 'average, there being a large proportion of wel l grown cattle, but prices were not equal to those ruling a few weeks ago. Store shevp were dull of sale, except anything in forward condition. There was little or no change in fat sheep or prim)? lambs, but medium and unfinished lambs were easier. Fat pigs were in fair demand, but stoiUs were dull of sale. The range of prices was ra&; follows:—

Store Sheep: Two-tooth wethers to 26/, four and six tooth 25/3 to 28/, four, six, and eight tooth, 30/9; mixed sex lambs, 13/7 to 17/8; rape lambs 16/11 to 22/6. Fat lambs: Extra, prim’a to 33/, prime 26/ to 29/9, medium 23/6 to 25/6, lighter, 19/3 to 23/. Fat sheep: Extra prime wethers to 38/1, prime 33/6 to 36/6 Hghtk-r 27/3 to 33/; prime ewes 32/ to 35/3, medium. 28/6 to 31/ lighter 22/9 to 28/ Fat cattle: Extra prime steers to £2l, prime £l6 10s to £2O, ordinary £ll to £l6 2/6; extra prime heifers £l9, prim'e £l2 12/6 to £l7, ordinary £9 15s to £ls ss; extra prime cows, £l9, prime £l3 to £l6, ordinary £9 2/6 to £l2 10s.

Store cattle: Yearlings, £5 10s to £5 16s; two-year steers, £7 17/6 to £8 ss; two and a half year heifers, £8 15/6; three year steers £9 to £l2 Is; four and five year steers, £l3 10s; dry cow t s, £6 to £8 10s; cows and calves, £9 7/6; dairy cows, £lO to £l6 2/6.

Pigs: Choppers, £4 to £9 16s; baconcrs £5 5s to £B, equal to 91 per lb; porkers, £2 15s to £4 10s, equal to lOd per lb; -nv’diuni stores, £3 to £3 8/6; smaller stores;- 32/ to 38/; ■weanors 12/6 to 24/; breeding sow's, £5 to £6.
