AN UNUSUAL CASE AT PEILDING FEILDING, this day. An unusual case came before the Court this morning when Emil CharIcn Noffke, of Halcombe, charged with obtaining food, valued at 30s, from the Eeildiug Health Committee by moans of false pretences. Noffke had gone to the Committee during the influenza epidemic and represented himself as a married man with five children, all down with the influenza thereby getting food. It afterwards transpired that Noffke was a single man with no responsibilities. Justices Clapham and Penny fined Noffke £5 or one month.
