o SERVING WITH AMERICANS It was recently estimated that there are from 150,000 to 200,000 Jews in the armed forces of the United States Probably 130,000 arc in the army, 20.000 in the navy, 'and 14,000 in the Marine Corps. The records of 65,000 Jews have boon classified and filed. Of these 4910 are commissioned officers. Up to November 1, .1918, there wore 2502 casualties. Four hundred and fifty-one were killed in action. 142 died from wounds 96 from disease, and 73 from 'accident and. other causes, making the total deaths 882, or 4.1 per cent, of the total fatalities in the American expeditionary forces. The Jewish wounded number 1397 ,or 3.8 per cent, of the American forces.
