Received 9.30 a.m. (LONDON, December 3 Military Crosses have been awarded to New Zealianders in the Mounted Eiflcs: Captains E. Finlayson, A. E. Rhodes, Lieutenant S. Carter and S. .Sutherland; also one D.C.M. and two Meritorious Service Medals.

New Zealand No. 1 General Hospital at Broekenhursf closes at the end of January, Hornchurch at the -m\ of February, No. 3 hospital at Codford in April, and No. 2 at Walton in May. A MOUNT EGMONT EPISODE. ROYAL ALBERT MEDAL AWARDEU Received 11.10 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 4. The Royal Albert Medal has been awarded to Arthur Ambury, New Plymouth, for attempting to save a mountaineer on Mount Edmont while falling on the ice slope at a terrifie pace. Ambury tried to arrest the descent at a terrible risk to his own life.
