AMUSEMENTS

THE KINGS. Dorothy Kelly is seen in her first World Film picture in ''The Awakening." The great actress is co-starred with Montagu Love in this play, and the performance is a remarkable one. The story deals with the life of the student quarter of Paris, where love is master, and the conventions of society are little heeded. Montagu Love is "The Beast," an artist of groat talent but of rough and disagreeable character. He is universally disliked, but a great change is wrought in him through his happening upon a girl who was lost her work, and has fainted in the snow. A great love springs

up between the pair, but her loveliness attracts the attention of a handsome scoundrel, and he wagers that he will make her his without much trouble. Terrible tragedy follows the dastardly plot which he puts in operation to ensure his success, but all ends happily. The scenes of student life are daring and wonderfully produced, while the acting of the principals is superb. A duel is one of the great moments of the play and it is a miraee of screen won:. Serial No. 12 of "Neglected Wife." and C4azctte are in support. The programme is for one night only.
