The Cathedral throughout will be the gift of a grateful people desirous of expressing in practical form their thankfulness to God for one or more of the above reasons. Towers, transepts, arches, windows, porches and all other parts will be given as Thankofferings and Memorials. The Cathedral will provide a dignified place for the conducting of suitable services on occasions of great National rejoicing or mourning. It will be the centre of religious activity—a church devoid of pew rents, to which the public will always have access.
