THE HOSPITAL INQUIRY.

Sir, —I notice a local in your edition of Saturday re hospital inquiry. The statement I made, at the inquiry concerning the patients and domestic staff getting skim milk for breakfast was absolutely correct. I very seldom had any milk left over for puddings, and had nearly always to wait until the milkman came; in fact, very often we had not enough milk for breakfast in the kitchen. On several occasions I bad to go without myself. The nurses always had the cream off the breakfast milk. The patients had eggs if they supplied them themselves or had them sent by friends. —I am, etc., ANNIE S. FLEMING. Huia Street, Taihape.
