AMUSEMENTS

..THE KINGS. There has never been five reeis of film which contained more action than the Pathe .feature "Stranded iu Arcady," which is to be shown at the King's to-night. Mrs Irene Vernon Castle is the leading character, and she only needs to appear in one or two such rolls to challenge even some of the leading malo stars for the titlG of the "daredevil of the movies." The story is thrilling in the extreme, and there is not a dull moment. Some of the episodes involuntarily make you bold your breath. The love interest is developed most convincingly, and the setting of the story is among wild and romantic scenery. The supports are a Pathe Gacztte, scenic, Triangle comedy, etc. The programme will commence at 8.20 p.m. sharp.

EVERYBODY'S. Action is the watchword of the Pathe film "Stranded in Arcady," showing at the Town Hall to-nijrnt. Irene Vernon Castle, charming as ever, goes through the most puzzling adventures and unusual experiences. A 90foot leap from a cliff, a struggle for life in the rapids, several fights to the death, and in the end a thrilling race for an unknown purpose: these are a few of the bewildering happenings in this magnificent drama. "Stranded in Arcady" sounds rather idyllic, but the picture has more excitement and action and thrill to the inch than any other story ever screened. It is supported by a comedy and a Gazette. Patrons are reminded that the programme commences at 8 o'clock sharp.
