AMUSEMENTS

THE KINGS. There will be shown to-niglit a pai - - ticularly interesting 'picture entitled “Empty Pockets,” w 7 hich is a screen version of the celebrated novel by Rupert Hughes ,and it xs doubtful if ever a picture has moved off at suclx express speed and succeeded in maintaining it to the end. It is also doubtful if such an unsolvable mystery tangle has ever before been devised. The plot retains a remarkable clarity in spite of amazing complications, and all sorts of cross currents which go to increase the mystification. The ending is very dramatic and unexpected. The cast is an ailstar one, including Ketty Galaxies, Barbara Castleton, Bert Lytell, and Malcolm Williams. The supporting pictures are also very good.
