From 18th December to Bth January, inclusive, a relief express train leaves Wellington for Auckland at 2 p.m., on Mondays, Tuesdays. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, also on Sunday, 22nd December, arrive Auckland at 7.50 a.m. next day. On 21st and 23rd December a relief express train leaves Palmerston North for Auckland at 2.35 p.m., arrive Auckland at 5.40 a.m. next day. On Saturday, 21st December, a relief express train will leave Auckland for Wellington at 7.10 p.m., arrive Wellington 1.8 p.m. next day.
