BOWLING NOTES.

0 The continuous wet weather lately has made bowling operations much later than usual, but on Thursday last there was quite a representative attendance including some novices, some interesting play taking place. Gonsid-: oring the weather the green is playing ‘ exceptionally well. Following arc the results of matches played:— McLaren, Currie, Ward, White (skip) 19 and Varnan, De Luen, Barkman, Riddick (skip) 15. Shanley, Howens, Thurston, Dr. Boyd (skip) 24 and Loader, Eteveneaux, Xeaglo, Fookcs (skip) 9. McLaughlan, Collinson, Joll, McKenzie (skip) 19 and B’ond, Lawson, Stent, Wrightson (skip) 16. Entries for the Wanganui Centre Tournament close on the 14th December. Entries for the Handicap Pairs for Mr Thurston’s trophy, close with the Secretary on January Ist. A full rink tournament will be held on January Ist and 2nd on the local green and there will be some keen competitions. Rinks from several outside clubs will be present.
