SLIP ON THE LINE.

A slip occurred on the Main Trunk Line last night at about 6 o'clock, about 11 miles north of Mataroa, in the same spot as the one that occurred on November 8, when the train ran into the obstruction with fatal consequences. In fact the present landslide is a contiuation of that particular one. The amount of earth which came down is very considerable extending for about 25 yards, and about 10 feet deep. The mail train which usually laves Taihape at 7.30 p.m. was delayed till midnight for transhipping to a train from Ohakune on the north side of the slip. The operation of changing over was a most unpleasant one 'owing to the bad weather, and took some time, as the mail train carried a fairly large number of passengers, including "women and children and soldiers returning north. The Wellington-bound express this morning had also to tranship, but as this was carried out in daylight the discomfort was not so acute. However, the train was about two hours late. A gang of men went out last night, and started to clear away the obstruction. The train service north of Taihape is suspended, only the mail trains being worked." It Is anticipated it will he two or three days before the normal train service will be resumed. B'e judge and jury iand give NAZOL a trial. There can be only one verdict —'Absolutely competent to cure colds, influenza, bronchitis and nasal catarrh". .3
