AN ARGUMENT.
A wounded “Tommy” found himself lying on a stretcher beside a wounded German, who spoke English. Thereupon, foi’getting their wounds, a heated argument arose as to “who started the war.” Argument was not “Tommy's” strong point, and he was getting rather the worst of the deal, when he suddenly gave quietus to the argument and the German, with the remark; —• “Well, Fritz, I don’t care a hang who started the war, but I know who is going to finish it!”
