SYDNEY, Nov. 21. A deputation from the Wine Association asked Mr Grahame, Minister for Agriculture, that steps be taken under the new Wine Bill to encourage and develop the industry, which, amongst other advantages, would open up a field for the employment of re : turned soldiers. Mr Grahame, declaring himself a “wowser,” said Australia would be better without its vineyards. The world would bo better without liquor. He would rather see ia soldier without a farm than that he should have a vineyard. These were mere personal views. He promised to place the quest before tho Cabinet.
