A REQUEST REFUSED. BRISBANE, Nov. 18. The Premier declines to accede toi Mr Hughes' request for the AgentGeneral to support him in his protest | against Australia not being consulted in regard to the peace terms. Mr Ryan advised the Agent-General that his Government hesitated, particularly at this juncture, to associate iteslf witlji . Mr. Hughes’ condemnation of the perial Government, in the absence of positive evidence that the Allied Governments would not deal fairly to protect the interests of the oversell dominions.
