WHEREAS by a warrant dated 13th day of November, 1918, and made under section 18 of the Public Health Act 1908 His Excellency the Gover-nor-General has conferred upon all District Health Officers power and authority with the approval of the Minister of Public Health to close all or any hotel bars, bars of chartered clubs or other places within their several districts respectively for the purpose of more effectually checking or preventing the spread of influenza. NOW, therefore, in pursuance of the said power and for the same purpose, I, Robert Haldane MakGill, District Health Officer at Wellington, with the approval of the Minister of Public Health, do hereby require all hotels bars and bars of chartered clubs within a distance of three miles, and within the boundary of any city, borough, or town district, in the Wellington Health District to be CLOSED DAILY at 4 p.m. Dated at Wellington, this fifteenth day of November, 1918. MakGill, District Health Officer at Wellington, do hereby require all places and buildings in the Wellington Health District set out, or referred, to in the Schedule below to be isolated by being closed until further notice or- during the' time specifi'ed/ with respect thereto in the said Schedule find during the period of such isolation no person shall enter any such building save for the purpose of cleaning or disinfecting the same or for some other purpose directed by me. SCHEDULE. All Theatres, Dancing Halls, Billiard Saloons, Concert Rooms; Shooting Galleries, and other buildings or rooms used as places of public entertainment or amusement, all Marble Bars, Refreshment Rooms and Tea Rooms, to be closed except during the following hours: 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., 12 noon to 2 p.m., 5 ,p.m. to 7 p.m. , All buildings used for purpose of public worship to be closed (Sundays include ed). At 5 p.mjr dailj-^till. buildings* used for public meetings except when used for meetings for Public Health purposes and dealing with organisations for that purpose; all proposed University or other examinations by an Educational body to be cancelled, - or, if proceeding at present to stop at. once. All places wherein is carried on ; the business of a Barber or a 'Hairdresser; all Public Schools and private schools, Sunday .
