Armistice Terms.
WELLINGTON, November 12 The Prime Minister this afternoon received the following summary of tha, armistice conditions from the High/ Commissioner, dated London, November 11th, which he read to the House:. All occupied territory to be evacuated. ! Repatriation of all inhabitants of the occupied territory. Evacuation of the left bank of the Rhine. i Occupation by the Allies of Coblentz, and Cologne, and a thirty kilometres radius on the right bank. Evacuation by Germany of the Rhine Land (Alsace and Lorraine) within sixteen days. Great surrender of guns, ammunition, and war materials. All subumarines at sea or ready to put to sea to be surrendered within fourteen days. German to disarm six battle cruisers, ten battleships,eight light and fifty destroyers, under the supervision of the Allies. Heligoland to be occupied in that the conditions may be enforced by the Allies. No transfer of the German mercantile marine to neutral flags. ~ . Impiedate repatriations, without reciprocity of Germans, of Allied and United States prisoners of war. German troops in Russia, Roumania, and elsewhere to be withdrawn. Complete abandonment of Bucharest and Brest Litovsk- treaties. The duration of the armistice is 25 days. A GLIMPSE OF THE TERMS. , LONDON, November 12. A German official message states that the armistice was signed at five in the morning, and operates from II in the morning of November 11. The period for evacuation has been prolonged for 24 hours for the left bank of the Rhine, besides the five days, making 31 days in all. The modification of the text compared with that brought by Captain. Helldorf will be transmitted. The above apparently refers to a condition of the armistice terms that have not yet been issued. s
