RUMAINIAN CUP OF BITTERNESS
An interesting view of the Rumanian Crown Prince has been obtained through news that has only recently become public. He seems to he a of some courage, for when the German ultimatum was presented to the Council of State he entered the chamber where the Council was sitting and excitedly addressed the king and members lof the Council. “I comej here’ ’he said “to ask you in the name of the soldiers in the name of the wounded, in the name of my mother, and in my own name not to accept such peace conidtions, but rather to continue the war until the bitter end.” But there was nothing for Roumania to do but to drink the cup of (bitterness to the dregs. The Crown Prince, through his mother, is a grandson of the Duke of Edinburgh, brollier of King Edward YIII.
