Mr. McNamara stated that 8946 thousand tons of merchantmen were lost by enemy action and marine risks of which 5433 thousand were replaced by new construction, enemy tonnage, and purchases abroad.
TWO BRITISH VESSELS LOST.
RESULT OP A COLLISION.
Received 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Nov 7.
The Admiralty reports that a British patrol vessel was sunk on November 4th. One man is missing. A British auxiliary was sunk on November sth with casualties; both the result of a collision.
